Hello there! This is the first episode of a series that aims at sharing a few shots of nice locations I happened to visit while wandering the Earth.

Tivoli Gardens is an amusement park located in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. During most of the year the day kids of all ages enjoy a wide variety of attractions, from a plain carousel suitable for toddlers, to hard core roller coasters, for adrenaline junkies. But when the night falls …

… every ride, even the Music Carousel, acquires a magic aura.

The enchantment of the lights in Tivoli park shines even more bright during Halloween, when the Gardens are decorated with typical shapes and colours of this celebration: ghosts and pumpkins are all over the place …

… as much as red and purple lights, to drag you in this picturesque dimension.

Windmills are not anymore machines that harness the wind, but beacons of magic lights …

… and the Star Flyer draws abstract images of light in the city sky…

… in a beauty contest with the Fatamorgana wild ride …

All of a sudden the The Demon roller coaster does not seem that scary, provided you are far away enough so not to hear all the screams of excitement.

But watch out ! Don’t fool yourself ! The pirate ship moored in the placid waters of the Gardens will not take you anywhere near Treasure Island …

… but still worth a second glance!

At last the Copenhagen City Hall peeks over the trees, reminding me there is a whole city out there, and a home to head back to …

… as I walk through the quiet gardens of the H.C. Andersen Castle.
